Uwell Caliburn G5 Guide: GPP Alpha Pods and Controls

The Uwell Caliburn G5 is a refillable pen-style pod kit for adults who want more control over their setup. It combines a 1600 mAh battery, adjustable side airflow, a themed display and a triple-tap shortcut for selected controls. Its GPP Alpha cartridge adds a soft-touch mouthpiece. The practical question is whether you will use those controls, or whether a simpler Caliburn would suit you just as well.

The GPP Alpha pod and other cartridges

The headline pod is the GPP Alpha, which uses Uwell's AlphaCore design. Uwell says that design aims to keep flavour consistent over a longer useful life. The mouthpiece has a soft-touch TPU surface, a small detail you may appreciate during frequent use. Uwell says the G5 kit includes three pods, including the Alpha cartridge, but the exact contents, capacity and resistance can vary by market or kit version. Check the selected listing and package details before assuming a particular combination is included.

The device also accepts compatible G Pod Platform cartridges. That lets you choose a different resistance or refill style later. A lower-resistance option may give a warmer, more open restricted direct-lung pull; a higher-resistance option generally suits a tighter mouth-to-lung inhale.
